
Tamara Ammons-Jones
Indianapolis, IN
Tamara is from Indianapolis, In and has been dancing since the age of five. She has been trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, modern, and African. She graduated from Purdue University where she a part of many dance organizations; The Purdue Reparatory Dance Company, The Jahari Dance Troupe, and competed nationally with The Purdue Dance where she was captain her final year.

During the Summer of her college career, she danced on the Fever Inferno Hip Hop Dance Squad, the official dance team of the WNBA, Indiana Fever. After graduating from Purdue University, she danced for the Indiana Pacemates for 7 years. While on the team, she had the opportunity to represent the Pacers organization in Taiwan, Philippines, Uruguay, Argentina, and at one of the largest PRO dance conventions, Pro Action, her final 3 years on the team.
Tamara has been choreographing competitive and game day routines for Pro teams, College, and High School dance teams around Indy for the last 15 years. Some of those teams include the Indiana Pacemates, Fever Inferno Hip Hop Squad, Pacers Hype Crew, Butler University, Trine University, Brebeuf High School, Pike High School, Jasper High School, and semi-pro dance teams Kokomo Bobkats, and Emerald Spirit Dancers.
She is also the head coach for the Marian University Dance Team, which she has been coaching for over 12+ years.
