General Information

Classes welcome dancers of all skill levels. Although the choreography and teaching pace might seem advanced, we invite everyone to participate. Whether you're dancing for enjoyment or preparation for an upcoming audition, we promote an open and judgment-free environment. Dancers will consistently experience two PRO style classes, either taught by both of our two IndyThrive founders or in conjunction with a guest choreographer.

Shania McGee - Hip Hop Guest Choreographer

We are thrilled to welcome Shania McGee as our Hip Hop guest choreographer instructor! Shania’s dance journey began at Pike High School, where she danced from 2011 to 2014, laying the foundation for her dynamic and versatile style.

Shania has an extensive performance background, including dancing with the Fever Inferno Hip Hop Squad in 2017 and a six-year tenure with the Indiana Pacemates from 2017 to 2023. Most recently, she joined the Indy Ignite Firestarter team in 2025, continuing to bring energy and creativity to the stage.

Beyond performing, Shania is passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of dancers. She has served as a guest instructor at Indiana University for Advanced Musical Theater and currently teaches Hip Hop at Premier Academy of Performing Arts (since 2022) and Hip Hop & Heels at DanceFam (2025–present).

Shania is known for her high-energy classes, confident movement, and ability to inspire dancers to push their limits while having fun. Whether on stage or in the studio, she brings passion, professionalism, and authenticity to everything she does.
